I believe the old Charter House is now a church. When it was the Charter House, it was THE place to dine and hold events. It was famous around Northern Ohio....poppy seed dressing was a big item I think.

Yes this is now a Church & Christian School Faith Bible Academy.My husband Graduated from here in 1986.

This was originally the residence of Henry Quirnan (sp)who lived alone. He drove an old pickup truck to check on his many real estate holdings in the area and surrounding areas.

I grew up in the house next to it when I was little..I can remember my friends and I playing on the front porch when it was still abandoned. I had no idea it used to be a house.

I remeber my dad telling my brother and I stories about this house belonging to a "poor" miserly old man who ended up crazy and all alone. Anyone else ever here tales of this?

we used to make a point to go trick or treating here because the man used to give out coins instead of candy... we also used to play football in the lawn area on the left side as the Smiths used to live next door. the Smith family could almost field a football team by themselves

Mr. Quirran didn't die alone. He lived there while it was the Charter House. He had a stroke and died within 48 hours.
